Welcome to ‘Bruno’, a combination of boulangerie and cafe, located only 5 minutes from Hankyuu Kamishinjo station and famous for the house-shaped breads.

Bruno has two floors with the bakery and shop on the ground floor and the cafe on the second floor. The cafe has a large table in the middle, counter seats with some of the counter seats near windows with a view on the shopping street in front of Bruno and a leather sofa corner, about 24 seats total. They also have a toaster on the second floor to warm-up the bread you bought downstairs.

Even though the cafe is on the second floor, Bruno tries to make the cafe child friendly by offering babyseats on the second floor. Please note that if you come with a stroller, you are allowed to bring it upstairs, however, the staircase is pretty narrow and steep so be careful when climbing it with a babycar. If you notify the staff you can sometimes leave the stroller collapsed downstairs.
(While the south exit of Kamishinjo station is the nearest exit to the cafe, if you are planning to bring a stroller by train please note that Kamishinjo station only offers an elevator on the North exit.)

Bruno became extremely popular because of their unique ‘house-shaped’ breads (see images). The house-shaped breads were an idea the owner came up with when his brother became an architect.

The house-shaped breads come in a variety of shapes and flavors, e.g. strawberry, matcha, red bean paste, vanilla etc. Besides takeout you can enjoy their bread plate menus at the cafe on the second floor. They offer some delicious house bread ala french toast plates.
